Jay's parents were Solomon Hardesty & Harriet Davis Hardesty Crow, and his wife was Ann Anderson Hardesty. Harriet is also buried in this cemetery.

Directions to the Stowe Cemetery: From Elwood, NE go 7 miles south on US 283. Go west 10 miles on County Road 23S, also known as Stockville Rd. Go south along the section road approximately 3/4 mile. Cemetery is located on the east side of the section road between Sect. 17 & 18. Map location is W1/4 Sect. 17 T6N R24W.
