Warren "Warnie" Bertin, 78, of Pana, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in his residence. He was born November 16, 1928 in Pana, the son of Charles and Alma Haines Bertin. Warren was a graduate of Pana Township High School, and served in the U.S. Army. He had lived his entire life in the Pana area, and worked as a salesman for Wadley's, which later became Schaper's, and retired from there. Warren was a member of Pana Elks Lodge #1261; Pana Sportsman's Club; and member of bowling leagues, and bowled the first 300 game at the Pana Bowl on December 19, 1971. He also loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.
He married Helen Irene Hubner in 1954 in Champaign.
He is survived by his mother, Alma Bertin, Pana, IL; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; wife on March 27, 2003; and one brother, Russell Bertin.

Funeral Information
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007 from 5-7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Rosnett officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with the committal service being officiating by Rev. Don J. Roberts.
