Son of Thomas Perry Parke and Mary Ann (Estes) Parke. Married Harriet A. Sims 16 Sep 1835. Father of seven children (two died in infancy)four others in their teens and early twenties all died within 2 weeks of each other in an epidemic (Albert,Charles,Wesley,and Sally). Thomas died when he was struck by a train while walking home from voting. His brother who had opposing political views decided not to cast his vote so that he wouldn't cancel out Thomas's vote.
