Guy H. Booth passed away April 19, 2011, at the age of 89. He was born in Dellvale, Kan., in 1921, to Louie and Nora Booth. Guy was a U.S. Army sergeant in WWII, where he earned a Purple Heart. After returning from the service, he worked for Crown-Zellerbach, retiring after 37 years. Mr. Booth was married to Jessie Warthen for 38 years before her death in 1985. He then married Pauline Barker and was married 21 years before she passed in 2006. Guy is survived by his children, Barbara Thomas, Linda Olsen, Peggy Closner, Beth Booth, Avy Gunderson, Martha Brooks, Carolyn McCulloch and Joseph Mankin. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Oregon City Evangelical Church on Linn Avenue.
