E. Elmo Clark, Sr., 91, of Brenham, passed away November 9, 2010 in St. Joseph's Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas. Rev. Steve Ponder will officiate. Interment will take place in Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia, Ky.

Born March 10, 1919 in Shepherd, Texas to Harvey Cornelius Sr. and Violet (Sherman) Clark, he was a graduate of Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. His wife, Rosa Alice Clark, preceded him in death in 2004. Mr. Clark was a home building contractor, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Anahuac, Texas.

Survivors include sons E. Elmo Clark Jr. of Conroe, Foster Wooten and wife Molly of Brenham, and Garland Wooten of Savannah, Ga., as well as 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Clark, three brothers and two sisters.
