Born March 10, 1919 in Shepherd, Texas to Harvey Cornelius Sr. and Violet (Sherman) Clark, he was a graduate of Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. His wife, Rosa Alice Clark, preceded him in death in 2004. Mr. Clark was a home building contractor, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Anahuac, Texas.
Survivors include sons E. Elmo Clark Jr. of Conroe, Foster Wooten and wife Molly of Brenham, and Garland Wooten of Savannah, Ga., as well as 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Clark, three brothers and two sisters.
