Parents George W and Jane K. [Ensley] Lines. Wife named Rebecca Emeline Lines.

See his mothers page he is listed as John F Lines. T and F are often confused as we know.

March 2015, at the library today and came across this. Thought I would add to his memorial. John T Lines to Observe 91st Birthday on Feb. 22.

The article says he is like George Washington in two ways, the day of birth and be also had a horse shot out from under him in battle....but he is so truthful he would never had told a lie, and he never cut down a cherry tree. He started out in Indiana as a printer and reporter. He joined the Indiana cavalry volunteers and he ran the enemy around says the article and he does not know if he killed anyone but he used all the ammo they gave him. He goes on to say he thinks although they shot the horse from under him they shot of his right spur and that makes him one up on Washington by having the spur shot off....going on to say he was captured but released 3 days later. He homesteaded in Kansas after the war and then came to MO. with his brother L E Lines. He says he will celebrate his sixty-ninety wedding anniversary.

John T. Lines had another brother, Golden H. Lines, who is buried in Kansas. Memorial ID 40239495
