MRS. GEORGE E. YOUNG
Mrs. George E. Young died at her home in Colfax Thursday morning after an illness of several weeks. Death resulted from Cancer. Although the deceased had been in a critical condition for three weeks prior to her death, she had been suffering from the ailment for more than a year and had submitted to an operation in the hope of getting relief.
Mrs. Young, whose maiden name was Florence E. Hollenback, daughter of Rosanah and William Hollenback, was born in Clinton county, Indiana, on May 23, 1855, and was past 64 years of age.
Early in life she united with the Methodist church at Clark's Hill, later moving her membership to the Colfax church.
On October 8, 1874, she was united in marriage to George Young. To this union were born two children -- Flossie, who died in infancy, and Rosalie Wright who with the husband, one sister, Mrs. Nancy Young, and two grandchildren, Cleo and Gerald Wright, survive.
