James was born May 2, 1936 in Dunn, LA and passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Rayville, LA.
Mr. Black was a Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam and Korea. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. James was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Adele Black; wife, Melva Ellen Black; daughter, Jamie Allison Black, and brother, Julian Black.
Survivors include his daughters, Glenda Michele O'Deay and husband, Kraig of Rayville and Lynette Casares and husband, Juan of Beeville, TX; son, Bradley Keith Black of Walpole, NH;
7-grandchildren and great grandchildren, Daniel Black and LeeAnna Black; brothers, Vernon Eugene Black of Epps, LA and Dennis Leland Black of Brownsville, PA; host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Brandon Maldonado, Austin Maldonado, Justin Black, Jeremy Black, Rachel Black, Derrick Casares, and Mathew Quintero.
