When Nolin Reservoir Lake was being formed in 1961, many old cemeteries were relocated to Hill Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Each grave was given a marble marker with a number inscribed on it. If Army Corps of Engineers was able to identify the individual, it was recorded.these cemeteries, from which they were originally buried.
