Joseph Michael Laforgue passed away on April 17, 2011 in Lady Lake, FL. He was seventy-two.

He was born in The Bronx, NY on September 26, 1938, the son of Henry and Kate Agnes Clancy Laforgue. He was a graduate of Chelsea Vocational High School in New York City. He served in the United States Armed Forces from 1957 through 1961.

On May 25, 1963, he married Barbara Susan Danis at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in The Bronx. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac. He loved golfing, travelling, music, gardening, and taking his grandchildren to museums and theme parks.

Joseph is predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara. He is survived by his two loving daughters Lisa Laforgue-Gallello and Denise Laforgue-McGuinness, their husbands Michael Gallello and TJ McGuinness, devoted grandchildren Caitlin, Kelly, and Christopher, his brother, Brendan Laforgue, and sister, Annette Barton and their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many cherished friends in Florida.

Friends may call on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 9:45 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac, NY.
Interment will follow at the Wappinger Falls Rural Cemetery in Wappinger Falls, NY.
