Death of Mrs. Margaret L. Walker
Mrs. Margaret L. Walker died Tuesday night at 9:25 o'clock at the home of the Misses Lockhart, 322 North Sixteenth St., with whom she had been living for the past twelve years.
Mrs. Walker was the youngest daughter of General and Mrs. Leslie Combs, and was born in Lexington, Kentucky, March 19, 1837. She was married to Samuel Downing of Kentucky, October 31, 1857. Mr. Downing died soon after the civil war. In 1872 she married Judge Wm. Walker of this city, who died in 1900.
Mrs. Walker is survived by four nieces, Mrs. Sallie E. Botsford of Kansas City, Mrs. Wm. E. Hudson of Carrollton, Mo., Mrs. Davelle C. Kountze and Mrs. Stephen S. Yates of New York.
The funeral services conducted by Dr. Z.M. Williams were held at the home yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
