LONGLEY----GEORGE E., 51, died Saturday afternoon at his residence in Apison, Tenn. following a lingering illness. Surviving, widow, Mrs. Elsie T. Longley; four daughters, Eva Lee, Gladys, Betty Jean and Martha Joyce; two sons, Earl and F. G., both of Apison; mother, Mrs. Mattie J. Longley, of Apison; one sister, Mrs. Nora Long, of Chattanooga; one brother, N. T. Longley of Tyner. The body will remain at the residence until the time of the service. Funeral services will be held from the Apison Baptist church at 10 a. m., Monday. Smith Funeral home in charge of arrangements. (Obit provided by Cindy Womble Billman)
