ROBERT B. GLENDENNING, 64
Robert B. Glendenning, 64, Columbia Falls, died Thursday morning at North Valley Hospital.
He was born July 2, 1920 in Kalispell to Peter C.[Claude] and Helen Glendenning [née McBain]. He was raised and educated in Kalispell.
He served in the Army from June 23, 1942 [enlisting in Salt Lake City] to Jan. 12, 1946, when he was honorably discharged. [He served stateside as an artist and sign painter.]
He married Margaret Graves on June 7, 1952, in Dutton [Teton Co.]. They returned to Kalispell where he operated a sign painting business. He later moved to Columbia Falls.
He is survived by his former wife, Margaret, of North Platte [Lincoln Co.], Neb.; a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Evelyn) Crosier of Chester [Liberty Co.]; two sons, Charles and Maurice of Columbia Falls; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Cemetery. The Rev. Howard Hunter of the United Methodist Church of Columbia Falls will officiate. Friends may meet at the cemetery.
The casket will not be opened for viewing.
Van Leuven Funeral Home of Columbia Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Robert was the only son of Peter Claude Glendenning and Helen Glendenning (née McBain), who is interred in Woodlawn Cemetery; and a grandson of Peter Cassel Glendenning.
