Ed E. Beasley, 51 years of age, died at his residence 3 miles south of Lufkin at an early hour this morning, following an illness of only a few days, and the remains will be interred tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock in the Whitehouse Cemetery, with Rev. N. B. Athey in charge of the service.
The deceased is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Roy and Curtis; brother, Sid Beasley; sister, Mrs. Anne Carpenter.
Mr. Beasley was born and reared in Angelina county, had been a farmer all his life, and a member of the Methodist church the greater portion of that time. He was well liked by his neighbors, a citizen of good repute and standing, and his death is a source of regret to the large circle of friends he possessed throughout his community.
