John Wesley Myers was the son of Alvah Osmyn and Thankful Elisus Myers. His mother Thankful passed away when he was only a year and 3 months old. He was married to Agnus E "Maud" Reynolds and they had 7 children. He worked with his father and brother Clarence at their family business the Reliable Incubator Inc. in Quincy, IL where they sold products for the chicken industry. He was very much in love with his wife Agnus as he had a piece of her hair with love letters that he had with him while he was working. John loved to fish! He's in lots of pictures with him either holding fish he caught or he was fishing.
