Butte Recruiting Office and arrived in Vietnam
20 February 1968 where he was assigned to
the 2nd Platoon,Lima Company,3rd Battalion,
27th Marine Regiment,1st Marine Division.
There was a hostile rocket attack on the 3/51
ARVN Infantry Battalion CP,4 kilometers south
southwest of Marble Mountain Airfield.Louis
died as a result of fragmentation wounds to
the head and body during the rocket attack.
