Ray C. Mendenhall, 70, of Dennison Rt 1, formerly of Zanesville, died at 10:26 pm Wednesday at his home following a long illness.
Mr. Mendenhall was born Feb 2, 1907, in Muskingum County, the son of the late Edwin I. and Norwesta Matheney Mendenhall. He was the retired owner of Mendenhall Industrial Equipment and a farmer.
He attended Feed Springs Entered Denomination Church in Harrison County.
Surviving are his widow, Geneva Patterson Mendenhall; two sons, Ray Mendenhall Jr, Lynn Mendenhall; a daughter, Mrs. James (Marilyn) Ritterbeck; two brothers, Lawrence C. Mendenhall, Ernest E. Mendenhall; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Treasure) Pliley and Mrs. Arthur (Iva) Veyon; seven granchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at A.R. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Service will be held at 3 pm Saturday with Rev Russell Moore and Rev Frank Peoples officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Deersville.
