WILLIAM T. VANNEST.

William Thompson VanNest, 80, of 218 McCarter avenue, Fair Haven, died Friday at Rosary Hill home, Hawthorne, N.Y. He was a retired auto painter. He was formerly employed by J.H. Mount of Red Bank.

Mr. VanNest was born at Kingston and and lived in this vicinity 40 years. He is survived by seven children, Lester, Arthur and Walter VanNest, Mrs. Walter Peterson, Mrs. Herbert Schone and Mrs. William Flash of Newark, and Mrs. John McCue of Fair Haven; a brother, John VanNest of Little Silver, and a sister, Mrs. Samuel Harvey of Little Silver. His mother, Mrs. Eleanor Hunt (sic), also survives.

The funeral was held Monday at the John E. Day funeral home with Rev. James Wells of the Newark Pentacostal church, officiating. Bearers were Walter Peterson, Jr., John McCue, Jr., William Peterson, Edward and Donald McCue and Charles Peterson.

Burial was in Greenlawn cemetery, West Long Branch.
