GATE CITY--- Mrs. Porta Calhoun Herron, 66, of 1503 West Highland Street, died at Holston Valley Hospital at 8:58 a.m. yesterday morning. A lifelong resident of Scott County, she was a member of Gate City United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E. (Bob) Herron, of the ; three sisters, Mrs. Bruce (Marie) DeVault and Mrs. Dorothy Farmer, both of Kingsport and Mrs. Garland (Ossie) Herron, Gate City; two brothers, Mack Calhoun, Bell view, Mich., and Paul Calhoun, Norfolk,Va.
Friends may call tonight from 7-9 at Gate City Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Holston View Cemetery with the Rev. Jim J. Harless officiating.
