Nancy was the daughter of Lewis Bottorff and Elizabeth (Smyser) Bottorff. Nancy was married three times. Her first husband was John Wesley Young (1814-1854). She married John on September 23, 1838 in Clark County Indiana and had at least four children with him. After John died, Nancy married Pvt. William Davis Blizzard (1824-1864) on March 24, 1855 in Clark County, Indiana. Nancy and William had four more children together: Ida, Emery, William and Charles Blizzard. Her second husband, William, died during the Civil War and is buried in Georgia. On October 10, 1871, Nancy married her third husband, James T. Waterhouse (1822-1899). She is buried next to her third husband, Mr. Waterhouse.
