Rose was the daughter of Harlan H. Durst and Thelma D. Haedicke Durst.

Surviving are two children, Dustin (Danine) Heaton and Dawn (fiancé Mike) Rynearson and their stepfather, Jack Pelley of Chillicothe. Also surviving are 12 brothers and sisters, Howard Durst, Lowell (Margaret) Durst, Donna Suber, Larry (Judy) Durst, her twin brother, Cliff (Angie) Durst, Albert (Michelle) Durst, Emerson (Tammy) Durst, Bonnie Ghirst, Laura Urban, Carl (Karin) Durst, Jim (Gale) Durst and Johnny (Dina) Durst.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rose was of the Lutheran faith.

She was a former certified nursing assistant.
