Resolution of Respect
The approaching autumn and maturity of Nature's growth, exemplify the truthfulness of the Scriptures the "man that is born of a woman is of few days end full of trouble."
Our brothe, J. S. Eggers has fallen and is no more among us. He ripened to a good old age and was gathered as a sheaf of wheat into the garden.
Therefore be it resolved; that in the death of Brother Eggers we can truly say, we have lost from our odge a good man indeed, and the community a model christian.
Resolved 2nd, That we sympathize with his companion, children and friends, in this death.
Resolved 3rd, That a cop of these resolutions be sent to the bereaved wife and family and it be spread on the lodge minutes and be requested to be published in the Watauga Democrat.
Resolved 4th, That the usual badge of mourning be worn thirty days.
