George Washington Biesecker, 85, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Freed, Cashtown, Thursday evening at 9:00 from the effects of a paralytic stroke which he suffered March 14. e had been bedfast since suffering the stroke.
Mr. Biesecker was born in Cashtown, a son of the lat John and Anna M Heagy Biesecker, and was one of a family of fourteen children. He has always resided in the Cashtown district.
the deceased was a carpenter by trade, but had lived retired for the past twenty years.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. M.E. Freed, with whom he resided; two grandchildren, Mrs. Earl R Myers, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. T. J. Kane, of Lemoyne, and two great grandchildren. One brother, Newton Biesecker, of Kansas City, Missouri, also survives.
Mrs. Biesecker, the former Mary Henry, preceded her husband in death October 17, 1931.
Mr. Biesecker was a life long member of Calvary United Brethren church, near Cashtown.
Funeral services from the Freed home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 the Rev. Ira S Ernst, of Carlisle, his former pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Palmer M Slenker, pastor of the church.
Interment in Flohr's church cemetery.
