Emory Curtis Biesecker, 66, died suddenly Monday afternoon about 1:20 o'clock at his home in Franklin township, near Orrtanna. Death was the result of a stroke Mr. Biesecker suffered about 10:45 o'clock Monday morning.
About two years ago Mr. Biesecker suffered a slight stroke that impaired his health but he had been able to do some work about his home. He was stricken suddenly Monday morning while working at the barn on his property. He was carried to the house by members of the family, where he lapsed into unconsciousness within a half hour and death followed in the early afternoon.
A son of the late Nicholas Leander and Elizabeth Chamberlain Biesecker he was born in Adams County and lived all his life in Franklin and Hamiltonban townships. His wife the former Annie Bushey, died May 23, 1924.
Surviving are seven children: Miss Marion E. Biesecker, at home; Dale McKinley Biesecker, Steelton; Blair C., Orrtanna, R D., Roy J., McKnightstown; Harry L., at home, and Mrs. Paul I Fritz, at home eight grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. John Cease, Orrtanna, and Mrs. Claude Helm, Reading; three brothers, Charles W., John E., and Ira O Biesecker, all of Orrtanna.
The deceased was a member of the Orrtanna Methodist church.
Brief funeral services from the home Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock with further services in the Orrtanna Methodist church at 10 o'clock, the Rev. J.A. Turner, pastor, officiating. Interment in Flohr's church cemetery, near McKnightstown. Friends may call at the Biesecker home Wednesday evening.
