Cartoonist. He developed the "Born Loser" comic strip in 1965. The strip became very popular, becoming one of the 10 most widely syndicated comics in the world. Today it appears in nine languages, in over 1,300 newspapers, in 26 countries. Four paperback editions of the strip have also been published. The "Born Loser" was nominated six times for the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award, as the best humor strip of the year, winning the prize in 1988 and again in 1991
