ABSALOM AVERY HAASE
Absalom A. Haase died Sunday night at seven o'clock at his home on East Harrison Street after an illness of two weeks. Uremic poisoning was the immediate cause of his death.
Mr. Haase was a well known citizen of this community and had spent all of his life in Morgan Co. He was a son of Henry and Mary McAvery Haase, was born in Green township on Dec 6, 1840, and was a member of a large family.
In his earlier years he taught school and also engaged in farming.
He was married to Margaret Elizabeth Mosier and they made their home on a farm in Jefferson township for many years. Five years ago they moved from their farm to this city and had since made their home in Martinsville.
Mr. Haase is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. E. H. Stapleton, of Baltimore, Maryland. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church. The funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Friends may call at the home any time Tuesday morning.
