Ruth lone Moore Parren, born July 26, 1911, in Niles Township, the daughter of James E. and Annabelle Lybrook Moore, passed away Friday, March 10, 2000, at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

She is survived by her husband, Wilfred, whom she married on June 28, 1930, nearly 70 years ago; a son, Leon (Barbara) of South Bend; a daughter, Anita (Richard) Shadler of St. Joseph; granddaughters Constance Newman of Stevensville, Michele Olson of St. Joseph and Christine Parren of Indianapolis; a great-grandson, Scott Olson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, three sisters; a son, Wayne: and a granddaughter, Wendy.

Mrs. Parren worked as a bookkeeper in the Niles area and later retired from the Cass County Abstract Office in Cassopolis. In partnership with her husband, she spent a major part of her life farming in rural Cass county.

There will be no services or visitation. Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery of Three Oaks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity or Fernwood Nature Center, Niles.
