Obituary:

Mrs. Sarah Matilda Sutton Massengill, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Bill Sutton was born Mar 10, 1873, died July 28, 1937. Age 64 years, 4 months and 18 days. She was converted early in life and joined the church at Cave Springs and remained a member until her death, a period of about 50 years.

She was married to Robert Massengill August 1880. To this union was born eight children, three boys and five girls. Lily Johnston, Wiley Massengill, Vinie Fult, Herman Massengill deceased, Rachel Cosby, Minnie Estep, Sterling Massengill, and Rosa Massengill deceased, forty four grandchildren, and twelve great grand children.

She was a faithful member to the church. The weather never being too hot or cold for her to attend.

Rev. JH. H. Ogan preached the funeral. She was buried in Cave Springs Cemetery July 29th.

"Sleep on dear wife and mother and take thy rest. God called you home, he thought it best. A dear one from us is gone. A voice we love is still. A vacant place is our home, which never can be filled." Husband and Children
