Here the family lived in a sodhouse along the banks of Turtle creek in Exline township, Spink co, SD. until they built a frame house. They had 5 more children, the youngest son dying as an infant, making a total of 8 children. Wenzel never learned English and died in 1902 The family moved to Canada soon after.
