Dr. A. A. Doyle Critically Injured in Accident Monday Dr. A. A. Doyle, retired New Richland dentist, was involved in a serious one car accident on Highway 14, seven miles east of Owatonna about 9 p. m. Monday. Dr. Doyle was critically injured when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel of his car while driving the portion of the highway which there have been three such accidents in recent weeks. Dr. Doyle was taken to the Waseca Memorial hospital where attending physicians said he had a crushed chest, a fractured leg, internal injuries, possible fractured pelvis and possible fractured skull. He also has multiple abrasions and cuts about the head, however he has been able to converse with members of his family. Wednesday evening he was reported improved, out of danger of shock and able to take a little food. His physician is waiting for further improvement before moving him to x-ray, as his condition is still considered critical. No one is being admitted to visit except the immediate family. Dr. Doyle was alone in the car at the time of the accident and was supposed to have been en route home. He was found lying 60 feet from the car on the highway, apparently having been thrown through the windshield. His son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Doyle of Seattle, Wash., have come home to be with the rest of the family. New Richland Star 9-22-1955 Arthur Ambrose Doyle Dr. A. A.
