Died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1993, at 9:40 a.m. at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 71, a resident of Zachary and a native of Dodson. He was a retired Allied Chemical Corp. maintenance supervisor, with 22 years of service, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. Monday. Religious services at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Basil Wicker. Burial in Azalea Rest Cemetery.

Survived by wife, Lorece Page Chandler, Zachary; two daughters, Trich Montoto, Baton Rouge, and Kathy Pesson, Denham Springs; three sons, Jimmy Chandler, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Gary and Greg Chandler, both of Zachary; two brothers, Edward and Chester "Check" Chandler, both of Calvin; 10 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

He was a member of Slaughter First Baptist Church.
