Warren Bernard Arthur, 88, of Vienna, died Tuesday, Apr. 12, 2011, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.

He was born in Grantsville, the son of the late Charles and Mabel Hickman Arthur.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and had been employed as a surveyor with several companies and with the State of West Virginia. He was a member of Vienna Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Nina Marie Spurgeon Arthur; two daughters, Janet Carlson of Cross Lanes and Rebecca "Becky" Murphy of Vienna; four sons, William Arthur of Bridgeport, Richard Arthur of Fletcher, N.C., Michael Arthur of Vienna and Donald Arthur of Wadsworth, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters.

Services will be held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 15, Parkersburg. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
