Riley A. Harmon
HILLSVILLE - Riley Addison Harmon, 81, of Rt. 1, Hillsville, Coulson community, died at his home Thursday morning, July 2, 1964.
Mr. Harmon was born in Carroll County August 15, 1882, to the late Thomas Har­mon and wife, Mrs. Polly Jane Burnett Harmon.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Etta Harmon; two daughters, Mrs. George Deatherage, Collinsville, and Mrs. Joseph Ferski, Bristol, Va.; three sons, Harlie Harmon, Hillsville; Lloyd Harmon, Clinton, Tenn., and Leonard Harmon, Asheboro, N.C., and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Bow­ers, Galax; Mrs. Callie Chappell, Hillsville, and Mrs. Mollie Harmon, McComas, W. Va.
Funeral services were con­ducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church by Elder J.R. Vass, Elder Ray Rotenizer and the Rev. Donald Clay.
Interment was in Coulson Church of the Brethren Cem­etery. The body rested at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, until time for removal to be placed in the church one hour before the services.
