Elizabeth J. "Betty" Laws, 88, of Brownsburg, formerly of Lafayette, died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Brownsburg Meadows in Brownsburg.
She was born Feb. 16, 1923 in Lafayette to the late Walter M. and Helen M. Kahl Lahrman. She married Dr. Kenneth F. Laws in Notre Dame on Nov. 9, 1944. He died July 4, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dolores M. Lahrman.
Surviving are four daughters, Katherine Kelly of Brownsburg, Margaret Carson (husband: Dana) of Romney, Patrice M. Murer (husband: Brian) of Williamsburg, Va. and Theresa A. Hayes (husband: Michael) of West Lafayette; two sons, Michael Laws (wife: Julia) of Charleston, S.C. and Thomas J. Laws (wife: Denise) of Lafayette; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
