Richard Darwin Duesler: Second son of Floyd & Sylvia. Born on the Mose-Wiley oil lease between Shamrock & Drumright, OK. Had brother Robert & sister Juanita.
Served in Army Air Force for two years during WWII, stationed at Hickan Field, Oahu, HI. Obtained a certificate as an Aeronautical Engineer graduating at the top of his class from the Curtiss-Wright School of Aviation. Worked for Douglas Aircraft Co in Tulsa, OK where he was editor and chief for manuals (flight, mechanical, weight dist, etc.) Mary born in Muskogee, OK. She was a secretary at Douglas Aircraft where they met, and married at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Tulsa, OK on April 15, 1955. Richard then worked for Martin Corp in Denver where he developed check list for the moon shots. Lost job due to downsizing, so at age 40 started as a programmer at Phillips Petroleum and then developed a rate & route systems which was sold to several companies. He retired in 1985. Celebrated 40th wedding anniversary in 1995. Richard died at age 74 from heart & kidney failure. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa. Mary continues to live in Bartlesville, OK.
