John L. Stanley was born February 24, 1875 in Kansas to William L. Stanley and Sarah Emily Catherine Baker.
Funeral services for John L. Stanley, 604 Fairview Ave. N., who died Friday, will be held at 1 o'clock tomorrow in the Home Undertaking Company Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary.
Mr. Stanley was born 68 years ago in Kansas, and has lived in Seattle since 1890. For many years a contractor, he supervised the paving of many of the streets in Seattle. For the past ten years he had been employed as a watchman. He was a member of the A. O. U. W.
Surviving are his widow, Carrie; a daughter, Mrs. Jacqualine Jacobs, Bremerton; a won, William R. Stanley, United States Army Air Forces; a brother, W. C. Stanley, Seattle; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Levier, Seattle; Mrs. George Cessne, Port Blakely; Mrs. Josephine Lemont, Alhambra, Calif., and Mrs. John McCarty, San Diego, Calif., and one grandson, Stephen Jacobs, Seattle.
