She was the daughter of Jonathan and Rebecca Lewis. She first married Alexander Bray, Apr 5, 1876, Tippecanoe county, Indiana. They had two children, Charles and Clara Bray.

Mrs Florence G. Coffman, wife of Isaac Coffman, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at the family residence, 418 Central avenue. She had been sick a week and death resulted from congestion of the liver. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Rebecca Lewis and was born fifty-four years ago. The family resided at Montmorenci before coming to Lafayette. Mrs Coffman was a woman of excellent character and had many friends. A husband and six children survive. She also leaves a sister Mrs Columbus Newman. The funeral will be held at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning from the residence. Dr. George W. Switzer will officiate and the burial will be in the cemetery at Montmorenci. Deceased also leaves a brother, Charles H. Bray, and a sister, Clara Bray.
