Lawrence F. Camp Jr., 82, North Port, died June 17, 2006. He was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Newark, Ohio, where retired after 32 years at Riverside Iron and Metal Co. He was active in the Boy Scouts and was a former member of Newark Masonic Lodge 97 and a member of First Christian Church of Venice. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Harriett; a daughter, Kimberly A. of Newark; and a brother, Robert of Hebron, Ohio. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, with a service to follow, at First Christian Church of Venice. Inurnment will be in Newark. James A. McKee Funeral Home, North Port, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, 1100 Center Road, Venice, FL 34292; or to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
