SAMUEL ASKREN DIES IN WEST
Samuel Askren, 58, former resident of this county and the father of James Askren of Route 8, died Saturday night at his home in Phoenix, Ariz. The son left here yesterday for Phoenix. Details of the death were not learned here, but funeral services will be held at Phoenix.
Mr. Askren was born in Marion county and at one time owned a farm west of Taylorsville. He left Indiana 25 years ago. Other survivors, beside the son in this county, include six other children, all of Arizona and California, and three brothers in Marion county.
James Askren operates the motorcycle shop at 422 Seventh street.
