He passed away June 21, 1939 at Missoula Montana after two major operations for stomach ulcers. He was thought to be getting along well when his failing strenth and weakened condition brought on a hemorrage; he passed away quietly at an early hour wednesday morning.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a wife, his stepson Dan Mead and family, his stepdaughter Mrs. Ben F. Bodie and husband of Sask. Mossbank., two sisters, Mrs. Fred Berry of Richville, MN and Mrs. E.V. Francis of Antelope.
