DENTON - Hoyt Otho Allred, 83, of Spring Street, died Monday, April 23, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Denton Town Cemetery, with the Rev. Sandy Young officiating.

He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Lucy Russell Allred, and a member of Siloam United Methodist Church. He was retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries after 25 years and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Kearns, Spring St., Denton.
