Ralph Pearson, 75, of Whittier, Dies
WHITTIER—Ralph K. Pearson, 75, a retires farmer and a lifelong resident of the Whittier community, died Tuesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1896, near Whittier. On Feb. 21, 1921, at Lisbon, he was married to Bertha L. Emmons. Mr. Pearson was a member of the Springville Methodist church, and was treasurer of the Whittier Community Assn.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Norman D. Pearson of Oskaloosa and Dr. James E. Pearson of Ames; five grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Clark and Alma Grimes, both of Springville; and a brother, Arthur R. Pearson of Springville.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist church in Springville. Burial: Springville cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel in Springville if they wish to contribute to a memorial fund.
