Rose was a native of Lansing Michigan, and the eldest daughter of George J. and Thelma Elizabeth Hess Garland. About 1942 the family moved to Alhambra CA where she worked in a secretarial position until she was married in 1949.
The marriage to a USAF Officer took the family on many tours of duty to places that included France, Japan, Washington DC, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and finally Virginia.
She lost her battle with GB/Liver cancer on Dec 26th during the Holy Season of the birth of Our Lord.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and dear brother George J. Garland.
