Married Maria Virginia Ryan Iler on Feb 21, 1872 at Mahaska county, Iowa.

Mrs. W.S.P. Eyler received the sad news Monday of the death of her father, Leonard L. Iler, aged 78 years, 7 months and 8 days, which occurred on Monday, April 11, 1910, at Osceola, Nebr., where he was given a Masonic burial from the Methodist church, Tuesday, two auto loads of the Fullerton lodge, of which he was a member, being present.

Leonard L. Iler was born Sept. 6, 1830, at Louisville, Ky., moving to Iowa when but nine years of age. He was twice married: first to Sarah Durham, on Sept. 5th, 1858, to which union eight children were born, of whom Mrs. Eyler is one.

His second wife was Maria Ryan, to whom ten children were born.

Eight of the children survive him.

Mr. Iler moved to Nebraska in 1881, settling in Polk county; afterward moving to Merrick county about 1899. He joined Cedar River Lodge, No. 89 at Fullerton in 1903 and retained his membership here until his death.

Mr. Eyler and his two oldest daughters also attended [the funeral], Mrs. Eyler not being able to attend.
