A Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Middletown, Dauphin County, Pa., November 21, 1775; received a limited schooling; studied law; was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Lewisburg, Pa.; member of the State house of representatives in 1812 and 1813; elected to the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Congresses (March 4, 1823-March 3, 1829); George Kremer was a nephew of Gov. Simon Snyder died in Middleburg, Snyder County (then a part of Union County), Pa., September 11, 1854; interment in the private burial ground on the family estate near Middleburg, Pa. Later remains moved to the Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg, PASon of Jacob Kremer, "OR"

his wife Martha Fleming.

to Catharine Evans, the only daughter
of Colonel Frederick Evans.

George Kremer was a member of the
PA State House of Representatives
1812-1813, and a member of Congress
in 1822 and 1824 (he served from
1822-1827). (He had also worked for
his Uncle Governor Simon Snyder).

Union County (now Snyder County), PA,
with his wife Catharine, age 56,
and their children:
Anna Eliza Kremer, age 33,
Margaret B. Kremer, age 30,
and Frederick Evans Kremer, age 28,
all born in Pennsylvania.

They also had a daughter Amelia Kremer,
who married Samuel O. Evans.

They also had a daughter
Catharine Lydia Kremer (1822-1909)
who married Hon. Thomas Bower.

They also had a son George Kremer [Jr.]
born April 17, 1827, and died on
Oct. 3, 1833, age 6, and was also
buried in the Swineford Cemetery.
