John W. Myers, 72, died 29 July 1939 in Merced, California. He moved from Lexington, Oklahoma in 1928 and operated a grocery store. He was a teacher and had been a mayor in Lexington. He had a daughter Mildred Ruth Myers-Eagle and three sons: John A Myers, Walter Myers both of Merced, and Ronald E. Myers of Stockton. He had three sisters: Mrs Scott Turnpaugh (Lexington, Ok), Mrs. Tom Quinsenberry (Elk City, OK) and Mrs James Bishop. He had two brothers: W.W. Myers (Clinton, OK) and J.P. Myers (Oklahoma City)
