Passed Away Sunday
Funeral To Be At
Lexington Tuesday Afternoon

Following an illness of nearly three months duration, Cy Hagadone, a pioneer of Dawson County, passed away at his home in Lexington early Sunday morning. Born in Joliet, Illinois, Mr. Hagadone was 87 years 10 months and four days of age at the time of his death.
He came to this section of the west in 1874, and truly could claim to be one of the pioneers of the county. He was employed as a cowboy in the early days, and rode the trail from Texas to Nebraska many times as well as all the trails in this section of Nebraska. Later for many years he engaged in farming northeast of Cozad, retiring a few years ago to his home in Lexington.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Walter Hagadone of Cozad; five grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Lexington, Tuesday (today) at 2:30 from the Newman Chapel and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
