She was a native of Bulloch County and had lived in Statesboro for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Gettis of Brunswick and Mrs. Roy Arrington of Augusta; a son, W.S. "Buddy" Preetorius of New Brownfield, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ruth Dodd of Statesboro; a brother, Ben W. Lanier of Beaufort, S.C.; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Smith-Tillman Mortuary in Statesboro, with burial in the Eastside Cemetery.
