LONGVIEW - Services for Ruth Lynn Walker, 89, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Garden Court at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road, with Rodney Cox officiating. Mrs. Walker passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at a local hospital

Mrs. Walker was born December 7, 1921, in Longview. She was a homemaker and a founding member of Alpine Church of Christ since the church was on First Street.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aphra Mae and Roger Arnold; husband, Nolan Walker; and sister, Christine Yarian.
She is survived by one son, Barry D. Walker of Longview; nephews, David Yarian of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jim Yarian of Florence, South Carolina.
