Zill, Rosalie Nash

Her family and many friends celebrate the many blessings this dear woman brought to their lives throughout her 79 years. Rosalie died April 14, 2011 after a brief illness. She now rests in the arms of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. She was born in Marion Township, Livingston County, Michigan on July 1, 1931 to Mark and Celia (nee Gearhart) Nash. She graduated from Pinckney High School in 1949 and from Michigan State College in 1953. She married Kenneth John Zill on June 20, 1953; he preceded her in death on April 14, 1991. She then married Nelson W. Ziesemer who preceded her in death on May 28, 1996. She was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor and served as the administrative assistant in the school office for 27 years at St. Paul's Lutheran School. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor, generous spirit, beautiful smile (always with her signature red lipstick), and the twinkle in her eye. She loved to clip articles from the newspapers and send them to her many friends and family across the country. You could always count on her to have a copy of a cute joke or a funny story to share. She is survived by her son, Kenneth "Kip" Zill and his wife Vika of Bristol, CT, her daughter Elizabeth "Liz" VandenBerghe and her husband, Loren of Bellevue, WA; her loving grandchildren, Alissa VandenBerghe, Kenneth VandenBerghe, Alexander Zill, Anna Marie Zill and Alex Peplinski; her sisters, Barbara Bekkering , Jane Clark (Jack), Nancy Meeden (Glen), Rachel Heldt (Ted) and Martha Towas (Ron); her brother David Nash (Lou); her step children, Tom Ziesemer (Jane), Rick Ziesemer (Bonnie), Charlie Ziesemer (Kelley), and Carol Ziesemer, and their nine children and two grandchildren; her dear brother-in-laws Edwin Zill (Helen) and Richard Zill (Billie ) and sister-in-law Marilyn Zill; cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A special thank you to the staff of Hillside Terrace for letting her come home for her last few weeks and for the tender loving care shown to her during her brief time of living there. She is truly home now. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 2:00 until 6:00PM at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor. Her funeral will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ann Arbor on Tuesday, April 19th at 11:00 a.m. with visiting from 10:00 until time of service. She will be buried at North Hamburg Cemetery in Hamburg Township at 2:00 p.m.
